Biography:

My life story can't fit on a Web page, but my mother says I can't publish my autobiography until after she's gone. OK, the basic facts: My birthday is January 22nd. (See above for where to send those cards and gifts.) I share my birthday with my identical twin sister, Sandy, who is living in Silver Spring, MD (way too far from me) with her sweet husband, daughter (born July 93), and a son (born Christmas Eve, 96).
I was born in Canton, OH and moved to Cleveland in 3rd grade (that's when my parents "ruined my life.") I was on the stage crew in high school and had a great time.
I met my husband David at a high school graduation party in 1975 (OK, do the math) and we both went to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. I knew I was going to marry him by late `76. I neglected to tell him that `til spring of `77, however, and we finally got married on May 15th, 1982. We have two sons: Jonathan, 3/6/90 and Alex, 10/25/92. (Moms: call or e-mail to swap labor stories!)
David moved to San Jose in June `79 when he graduated from CWRU. I didn't graduate `til `80 because I spent a year after high school working in a factory. That can really make you appreciate that college degree!

Career:

With my BA in English, I was highly sought after in the job world. (Ha, ha!) I worked in a bank for 5 years. (Actually, it had fun moments, like the day I brought the eggnog and Bob brought the rum.) I quit the bank right before Christmas (so there!) in `85.
My twin sister had moved to San Jose in `82, and she helped me get the first of my two jobs as a "girl Friday" in two tiny advertising agencies. (My Mom: "Does he know you can't type?" Me: "He hired me for my legs!") In December `89, I retired from advertising to be a Mom.
SHAMELESS PLUG: I started selling Discovery Toys in `92. Call for a catalog!

Hobbies:

I love movies, theater (please call with names of babysitters!), reading, skiing and shopping. We also like to travel: come over to see our pictures from our fabulous three weeks in Europe in `85 (before kids, of course). I also do volunteer work with a group that raises money for a network of vocational schools worldwide.

Send me your favorite movie quotes!

I'll put some good ones on my page.
Here's some of mine:
"To call you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!"
--- A Fish Called Wanda
"Yes, it's true: this man has no dick!"
--- Ghostbusters
